San Diego native, Kris Volk, has over 30 years of printing experience.

Initially working as a mechanic, Kris has always preferred being on his feet and working with his hands. He entered the printing industry in 1990 where he learned everything from press operation to finishing. He also gained an understanding of the day to day requirements of being a business owner and how to best meet customer needs.

Starting on his own in 1998 with PrintWorks, Kris set out to be the solution to what was sorely lacking in the printing industry; customer service. PrintWorks aims to have the highest standard of service, whether that be meeting deadlines or simply communicating the progress of a job, Kris oversees every aspect of the production from start to finish to ensure that your project is done right and on time the first time.

Kris is married to his high school sweetheart, Donna, who he met at Mission Bay High School. He has two children, Sophia and Alex. Sophia takes after her father with her own business in Colorado and Alex is a firefighter for the City of San Diego. When Kris isn't in the shop he can be found at a local brewery with his family, camping in Laguna, surfing at Scripps or golfing on Fridays at Balboa Park Golf Course with his buddies.
